The process of my work starts with researching top design trends, learning about the project and the users, and being in the mindset of the users. I move forward by focusing on the mood board, and the journey map plus user goals. The low-fidelity wireframes combined all of the aspects from prior research, then for the high-fidelity wireframes I add in the visual design elements that are readable and high contrast.
User Experience (UX/UI) Design Major with a Studio Art Minor with a concentration in graphic design and an Entrepreneurship Minor, and plan on graduating from Bradley University in May 2025.
I was attracted to the user experience field because it was more technology-focused compared to graphic design, which was my original intended major. Once learning about UX design, I like the hands-on appeal and how changing small aspects of a design leads to a complete change in the quality of the experience.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy exploring the multiple coffee shops in Peoria (Leaves and Beans is my personal favorite). When I am not in Peoria, I am spending time with my family and help take care of my nieces, who are three years old and eight months old. In my spare time, I am either hiking with my friends or painting outside.
Personal Trainer is an augmented reality training program for the retail or fast food industries. The program would cut out the need for an employee to train a new hire, which would save time and assist in helping the new employee learn the system quickly.
Keep Me in Check is an augmented reality app that is geared towards people with diabetes. The app is to aid in tracking the blood sugar of the user and to easily give the user options of what to consume based on their blood sugar.
Worked with a CAT Team Lead and others on my team to improve the communication of a Caterpillar platform used by dealers. My team did this by utilizing the Caterpillar design system and researching what other companies were doing at the time to emphasize the user and their use of the platform.
As of October 2021, I have been working on a 20-member team creating a two-player battle game by the end of April 2022. The two-player battle game is two ships shooting at one another’s cannon, and the first to damage all the cannons wins.
FoodE is an app that was a semester-long project for my UI Design and Development course where we went through the entire research and design process.
