Fall 2022
For my advanced interactive design course, we were tasked to create an augmented reality app with any focus. After watching a television show that portrayed the reality of having diabetes, I was inspired to create an app that helped ease the struggle of tracking their blood sugar and making meal decisions.
I wanted to focus on the educational part of the app and make it geared towards those who just recently discovered their diagnoses. Also, I wanted to ease the struggle of figuring out what to eat with the different levels one’s blood sugar is at.
I went with bright green elements to showcase the information on the screen and decided to use green since it majorly coincides with heath. This app would have the ability to scan the different foods and the amount of food to determine the sugar amount and how it would affect the level if they decide to eat it. Also, the app tracks the blood sugar level of the person and gives them suggestions about what to eat if their level is too low or to maintain the level that they are at.
