Cannon Brawl: Class Project

October 2021 to April 2022

As of October 2021, I have been working on a 17-member team creating a two-player battle game by the end of April 2022. The two-player battle game is two ships shooting at one another’s cannon, and the first to damage all the cannons wins. For this project, I have contributed to low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, user playtesting, and the design layout of the game. By being a part of this team, my ability to work with multiple people has grown, and have met great people along the way.

During the first round of user testing, my fellow ux team members and I learned about different aspects of the game that could be improved upon and what problems with the game that needed to be fixed. We had each user tester fill out a survey to keep track of the feedback, and we found that the angling mechanic of the cannons that were used to shoot the other ship needed to have the rotation scope fixed. Also, we learned that the touch point on the cannon needed to be in the middle of the cannon and not the back end. After reviewing the survey responses, we compiled the feedback into a presentation so that each team knew specifically what needed to be fixed, and we also gave suggestions that the teams could take into account.
